QUALITIES OF A DEEP ANALYST  INVOLVE PEOPLE

  • Gains Knowledge by solving problems.
  • Solves the problem that really exists, not the symptoms of a problem.
  • Breaks the problem into smaller parts and solve each part separately. Also identifies the interaction between each part. Knows when to integrate and conclude.
  • Understands the problem in total and identifies potential problems to come.
  • Infers data using rational subgroups and proves hypothesis using statistical tests
  • Knows how to separate the chance causes from the assignable causes.
  • Always aims to achieve zero defects and associates it to cost.
  • Simplifies the assumptions in the problem solving process.
  • Identifies root cause of a problem in a systematic and effective manner and then eliminates them.
  • Trains and facilitates other team members in the team.
  • Continuously updates the Deep Analysis database.

Who should be made a Deep Analyst in an organisation, obviously if every one is a Deep Analyst then its fine, but keeping cost into consideration those most familiar with the variables surrounding a problem should be involved in the problem-solving process. Often, these aren’t managers and supervisors but people taking orders, writing software, operating machines, data analyst,CNC
programmers and people performing repairs. An organization’s culture must allow all personnel to contribute actively to the process, regardless of their level within the organization.

One of the project manager’s most important tasks will be to select the right people for the problem-solving team.
Participants should be told why they’ve been included (e.g., their technical expertise, familiarity with processes in
question or experience in the department). It’s important that individuals are motivated and enthusiastic about being involved. Brainstorm all the relationships and eliminate sub systems that are not related. Keep your brainstorming to a very high level and don’t get into intricacies and constraints at this stage.
