 Metallography  CONTACT US FOR

Metallography is used to reveal the microstructure of metals, which is affected by alloy composition and processing conditions;including cold working, heat treatment and welding. A finished part's environment can also affect its microstructure and cause problems such as corrosion and decarburization. Analysis of a material's metallographic microstructure aids in determining if the material has been processed correctly and is therefore a critical step for determining product reliability and/or for determining why a material had failed.

Failure Analysis:
Study on the Cause of failure is determined using analytical and mechanical procedures and often includes simulated service testing. A combination of analysis and physical testing locates problems and provides correct and important recommendations for solutions. This results in reoccurrence of the failure. Qualimations metallurgists support you to perform failure analysis beginning with visually studying the failed part and asking detailed questions regarding ambience and operational details. The test results forms as basis for all FMEA Analysis.
